The Alfa Romeo Mito is the smallest and newest member of this Italian clan of unloved cars, slotting into the sub-compact category with sporting pretensions and a high price. Available only in 3-door form, the Mito comes with a slightly-different turbocharged 1.4-litre "Multiair" 4-cylinder from 2012 onwards in the GCC, now mated to a 6-speed twin-clutch "TCT" automanual gearbox. The interior can be optioned up with automatic a/c, power windows, electric mirrors, CD stereo, leather upholstery, aluminium pedals and more. Other available features include alloy wheels, LED tail lamps and HID headlights, among others. Safety features include stability control, front-side airbags, window airbags and a driver's knee airbag. An adaptive system is available to select three different driving modes, namely Dynamic, Normal and All-Weather, for throttle and transmission response, power steering assistance, suspension firmness and stability control, while Dynamic Steering Torque, or DST, gives a counter-steering effect to combat oversteer and help maintain a smooth course through a fast corner.
