BMW X5 M 2017 Overview
The BMW X5 M got a new model for the 2015 model year. Under the hood, it comes with a twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 engine, mated to a 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. Standard features in the X5 M include power steering, power windows, electric mirrors, keyless entry, central locking, Merino leather sports seats, leather wrapped M-steering wheel with aluminium paddle shifters, leather-wrapped dashboard, Alcantara roof liner, M-branded door sill plates, aluminium trim, contrast stitching, a 4-zone automatic climate control system, Harman Kardon audio system, xenon headlamps and 21-inch alloy wheels. Standard safety features include front driver and passenger airbags, curtain airbags, dynamic stability control (DSC), rollover sensors and tyre defect sensors.

| Known Problems | In the US, there was a recall for the passenger airbag inflator which may rupture during deployment. Few owners reported wind noise on highways, random check engine lights, air suspension problems and reverse not displaying when engaged reverse gear.
