McLaren 675LT Spider 2017 Oman Prices & Specs

The McLaren 675LT Spider is a special model, limited to just 500 units. It is based on the 650S but is more powerful, lighter and track-focused.The exterior includes a newly designed front splitter, Formula 1-style nose end-plates and larger 'Longtail' Airbrake. The rear deck is also new. These bodywork changes contribute to a significant increase in downforce levels, up 40 percent over the 650S. Weight has been reduced by 100 kg through the increased usage of carbon-fibre and by lighter components throughout, including newly developed suspension geometry derived from the McLaren P1. The windscreen is 1 mm thinner, saving 3 kg, while the rear bulkhead glass is 0.5 mm thinner, saving a further 500 g. The weight saving measures also include a louvred polycarbonate engine cover. These revisions to the glazing save a combined 4.7 kg. The cabin is upholstered in lightweight Alcantara, and features a four-speaker Meridian hi-fi and a satellite navigation system as standard. Front and rear track are widened over other Super Series models by 20 mm, improving grip levels and agility, while the front ride height has been lowered by 20 mm over the 650S. Gear changes are upto twice as face, thanks to Ignition Cut technology, a technique adopted from Formula 1 which sees a momentary cut of the fuel spark on gearshift.
