For 2018, the Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG gets a mid-cycle refresh, in line with the rest of the S-Class range, with ever-so-subtle design changes. The most significant changes for the S65 AMG include a new transmission, and ends with a slightly redesigned front-fascia and DRL's. It is still propelled by a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine, and is now mated to an all-new 9-speed automatic transmission. Mercedes-Benz has gone forward and cut an impressive 100 kg from the overall weight. Theres also an AMG sports exhaust system with logic-controlled exhaust flaps that produces the desired sound according to the situation. The exterior also has AMG design cues, despite the fact that it looks less aggressive than its predecessor. It still has the angry looking air-intakes, and an upright and distinctive radiator grill. Safety features include Active Parking Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Night View Assist Plus, Distronic Plus with Steering Assist, Brake Assist Plus with Cross-Traffic Assist and Pre-Safe Brake with pedestrian recognition.
