The 3008, a crossover in the truest sense of the word, first debuted in Europe back in 2009 before making its way to the GCC in 2010 as a 2011 model. It got a facelift in 2014. The 3008 is Peugeot's attempt to fill a vague niche, somewhere between a compact SUV and a midsize sedan. Only a 1.6-litre turbo 4-cylinder with a 6-speed automatic is offered here. Despite minivan looks, it seats just five, with a split tailgate, split-folding rear seat, rear-seat floor storage compartment, foldable front passenger seat and a two-level cargo hold. Features include tinted glass, 17-inch alloy wheels, rear wiper, dual-zone automatic a/c with rear ducts, panoramic roof with electric curtain, CD/MP3 stereo with Bluetooth and USB port, automatic headlights and wipers, one-touch power windows, electric foldable mirrors with indicator lights, adjustable leather steering wheel, cruise control, cooled front storage compartment, cargo net, fog lamps, speed-sensitive power steering, parking sensors, keyless entry, rear-seat 12V plug-point, heads-up display and a detachable map-reading torch in the boot. Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, stability control and emergency braking assist.
