In 2013, the Audi R8 got a facelift. The R8 is German brand's two-seat, mid-engine sports car that incorporates technology from Audi's Le Mans-winning R8 prototype to build on its racing success for the street. The production version of the Audi R8 sports car debuted at the Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris in the fall of 2006, with the dramatic design remaining very true to the Le Mans quattro concept car first seen in 2003. The Audi R8 goes for the supercar look with its wide lowered stance, mid-engined setup and air-intake overkill. The power is delivered through either a 6-speed manual or a new 7-speed S-tronic sequential manual gearbox that uses the same transmission and clutch but operates the clutch and changes gears automatically. However in most GCC countries, the manual gearbox is only offered on the V8, possibly on special order. The cabin is outfitted to luxury standards, with leather upholstery, power features and decent space. Luggage compartments are in the front and in the back. Safety features include the usual airbags and electronic nannies.
