2016 BMW 1 Series

The 1-Series is the smallest range in BMW's line-up. Completely redesigned for 2012 and receiving a facelift in 2016, it remains the only vehicle in its class featuring rear-wheel-drive and is offered in the GCC as a 5-door hatchback. Petrol versions include the turbocharged 1.5-litre 116i, turbocharged 1.6-litre 118i and 120i and the turbocharged 2.0-litre 125i, although all models are not offered in all GCC markets. All models, except the 116i, come with a choice of 6-speed manual transmissions or 8-speed automatics, although only the automatic version is offered here. An M 135i model is offered in 5-door form, with a 3.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder and a choice of 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic.
