The new-for-2012 BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe is essentially a 6-Series with four doors on a 5-Series platform. The 640i gets a turbocharged 3.0-litre 6-cylinder, mated to an 8-speed automatic with paddle-shifters. The 650i with the 4.4-litre turbocharged V8 and 8-speed auto came at the end of 2012.
