Chevrolet Impala 2014 Overview
The Chevrolet Impala is a large sedan designed to slot in just above the Malibu. The front-wheel drive Impala comes to the GCC with a 3.6-litre V6 engine, mated to a 6-speed automatic. Along with the usual power steering, power windows and power mirrors, other features include 19-inch or 20-inch alloy wheels, HID headlights, LED daytime running lights, optional multimedia-navigation system with pop-up screen, Bluetooth and a six-speaker audio entertainment system with CD/MP3/AUX support. Safety features include 10 standard airbags, and options include adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking, forward collision alert, lane departure warning, side blind zone alert, rear cross traffic alert, rear camera and rear-park assist.

| Known Problems | In the US, there was a recall for the occupant sensing system which may not sense the passenger, electronic parking brake which may not deactivate, Chassis Electronic Module connections which may corrode, chance of loss of power steering assist, improperly torqued steering component fasteners, ignition switch which may turn off, transmission shift cable which may break, brake lights which may flash intermittently, and the console storage latch which may open. Few owners reported squeaky noise from the interior, water leaking into the trunk, rear window defrost was overheating and peeling, stabilitrak problems, gear shifting issue causing hesitation, and sensor issues forcing the engine to go on Limp mode. |
