A new-generation Kia Sorento made its debut in 2015. It received a minor facelift in 2019. along with few interior and tech upgrades. The Sorento is a road-going crossover SUV with seating for five or optionally seven, four-wheel independent suspension. The available engines for the GCC are a 3.3-litre V6 with a 6-speed automatic and all-wheel-drive as well as a 2.4-litre 4-cylinder with a 6-speed automatic and a choice of front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive. The interior is available with cloth or leather upholstery. The Sorento can be equipped with a 6-speaker or 8-speaker audio system with MP3, USB and iPod connectivity, plus a built-in or external amplifier. Depending on model, available tech features on higher models include hands-free keyless entry and engine start button, in-mirror reversing camera, navigation, automatic a/c, xenon headlamps, LED indicators on the mirrors, seat cooler and warmer in the front, fold-flat 3rd-row seat and a panoramic glass sunroof. Lower models get 17-inch alloy wheels while higher trims get 18-inch or 19-inch ones, and all get standard four-wheel disc brakes. The Sorento is also available with features such as standard ABS with electronic brake-force distribution, and optional stability control, while passive safety is limited to a stiffened structure and two front airbags, with side and curtain airbags only on the top model.
