An all new Mercedes-Benz SL Class was released for 2012. The new design features a complete new aluminium body, so it is lighter than its predecessor. Also the new generation SL Class is wider and longer. Engine choices include SL 350 with a 3.5-litre V6 and SL 500 with a 4.7-litre V8. Both are mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission.
