Finally making its official debut in the GCC, the rally-bred Subaru Impreza WRX STI landed for the 2008 model year with a hatchback-only body and no warranty. By 2010, it could finally be bought with a warranty. The sedan came for 2011. The standard engine is a 2.5-litre turbocharged and intercooled horizontally-opposed 4-cylinder, mated to a 6-speed manual and Subaru's 'symmetrical' all-wheel-drive system. In 2011, a minor range-wide facelift debuted along with the sedan, as well as a 5-speed automatic option.
