Volvo XC60 2011 UAE Prices & Specs

The Volvo XC60 was launched with high hopes for the Swedish company, capitalising on the small crossover vehicle market. The XC60 is a new 5-seater crossover SUV that is aimed at attracting luxury-brand buyers. The XC60 T6 is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-6 engine, mated to a 6-speed automatic with manual-shifting capability, and an all-wheel-drive system without low-range gearing. For 2010, an XC60 T5 model was introduced, with a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder with a 6-speed automatic and front-wheel-drive. The smallest XC model includes new safety technology, debuting Volvo's new City Safety system, designed to help a driver avoid a collision at under 30 kph, or reduce the speed of impact at higher speeds by hitting the brakes if the vehicle in front suddenly stops and City Safety determines that a collision is likely. Another new safety featured being introduced on the XC60 is Pre-Prepared Restraints that uses a laser sensor that interacts with other technology to control the airbags and adaptive seatbelt load limiters. Other features, depending on trim level, include cloth or leather upholstery, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, reverse camera, keyless entry, sunroof, alloy wheels, common power accessories and a CD/MP3 stereo. An R-Design body kit is optional. Standard safety features include front and side-surtain airbags, stability control, ABS with EBD, and whiplash-protection headrests.
