First Drive: 2025 Lamborghini Revuelto in the UAE

The Lamborghini Revuelto is not just a new supercar. It’s the start of a new era. Replacing the iconic Aventador, the Revuelto is Lamborghini’s first series-production hybrid — and no, it’s not some tame eco-machine. It’s still a V12-powered monster with a shocking turn of speed, dramatic design, and enough technology to make a fighter jet blush.

Exterior Design

Lamborghini has never been subtle, and the Revuelto doesn’t try to be. It’s a wild fusion of sharp creases, aero elements, and Y-shaped lighting everywhere — from the aggressive front end to the spaceship-like taillights. The scissor doors are still here, as they should be, and the whole thing looks like it belongs in a science fiction film rather than on Sheikh Zayed Road.

Despite being a hybrid, the Revuelto weighs only about 1,800 kg (dry), thanks to a carbon-fibre monocoque and body panels. That’s lighter than expected for a car packing electric motors and a 6.5-litre V12.

Interior and Tech

Inside, the Revuelto still feels every bit a Lamborghini — tight cabin, premium materials, and aggressive angles. But now, it’s more digital. A central 8.4-inch touchscreen and a passenger-side 9.1-inch display join a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system finally feels up-to-date, with proper smartphone connectivity and more intuitive menus than previous Lambo efforts.

Thankfully, Lamborghini kept physical toggles for key functions. And yes, it’s still a loud, low, and dramatic place to be — just how a supercar should feel.

Lamborghini Revuelto Performance

Under the glass engine cover sits a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12, now paired with three electric motors — one on each front wheel and one integrated into the new 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox at the rear. Combined output? A ridiculous 1,001 horsepower.

0-100 kph takes just 2.5 seconds, and top speed is over 350 kph. But it’s not just about straight-line speed. The electric motors give instant torque, the AWD system offers laser-precise grip, and rear-wheel steering improves agility. It feels sharper than the Aventador, more planted, and surprisingly responsive even at lower speeds.

And yes, it can drive in EV mode alone for about 10 km. But let’s be honest, no one’s buying a Revuelto to save fuel.

Driving Impressions

We drove the Revuelto on public roads. In the city roads, it’s surprisingly manageable, though visibility is still limited and the ride is on the stiffer side. But the hybrid powertrain helps at low speeds, making it smoother in traffic than any Lambo before it.

On the few occasions that we let it rip, the V12 still screams with all the rage you’d expect, but now it’s backed by electric torque that flings you out of corners like a video game cheat. The grip levels are immense, and the braking performance is just as dramatic. The new dual-clutch gearbox is miles better than the Aventador’s old single-clutch — faster, smoother, and far more refined.

Lamborghini Revuelto Verdict

The 2025 Lamborghini Revuelto is not just a faster Aventador. It’s a ground-up redesign that pushes Lamborghini into the electrified era without losing its soul. It’s brutally fast, unapologetically loud, and still commands attention wherever it goes — now with a layer of modern tech and a surprising level of refinement.

Price in UAE? With prices starting from close to 3 million AED, is it worth it? If you want the last naturally aspirated V12 from Lamborghini and the first hybrid supercar that still feels old-school in all the right ways – absolutely!
