First Drive: 2025 Suzuki Dzire in the UAE

The Suzuki Dzire may not make headlines often, but it has steadily earned a loyal fan base in the UAE, especially among budget-conscious drivers. For 2025, Suzuki sticks to the winning formula — affordability, efficiency, and compact practicality — while giving the Dzire a fresh new look and updated cabin tech. Suzuki hasn’t reinvented the wheel for the new model, and that’s not a bad thing.

Design & Interior

From the outside, the 2025 Suzuki Dzire remains conservative. The new model has a much more handsome front fascia and LED DRLs on higher trims, but overall, it sticks to its tried-and-tested compact sedan profile. While before it was just the “Swift with a boot”, the new Dzire now has its own identity.

Inside, things are basic but functional. The top-spec GLX model now features a 9-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, but the rest of the cabin sticks to durable plastics and straightforward controls. There’s decent rear legroom and a sizable 382-litre boot, making it practical for daily use or even light family duties. There are no soft-touch materials or flashy trims, but everything feels well put together.

Suzuki Dzire Performance & Drive

Under the hood, the Dzire still runs Suzuki’s reliable 1.2-litre 4-cylinder engine, producing 82 hp and 113 Nm of torque. Gone is the AMT gearbox, and it is now paired with a smoother and more fuel-efficient CVT gearbox, sending power to the front wheels.

On the road, the Dzire is light and easy to drive — exactly what city commuters want. It won’t win any drag races but is adequate for urban traffic and short highway stints. The suspension is tuned for comfort, soaking up bumps well, and the steering is light enough for tight parking manoeuvres.

The Dzire shines in fuel economy. During our test, it returned an impressive 5.6L/100km, in a good mix of city and highway driving. That makes it one of the most economical petrol-powered sedans you can buy now.

Safety

Standard safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and ISOFIX child seat mounts. The GLX variant adds a rear parking camera.

Verdict

The 2025 Suzuki Dzire continues to do exactly what it’s meant to: offer affordable, efficient, no-nonsense motoring. In a market filled with increasingly expensive options, the Dzire remains one of the most affordable brand-new sedans in the UAE. This makes it ideal for first-time buyers, fleet operators, and anyone looking for a cheap-to-run commuter.
