Road Test: 2025 Chery Tiggo 4 Pro

The compact crossover segment in the UAE is highly competitive, with buyers expecting value, technology, and reliability. Chery, the Chinese automaker, has been making strides in the market, and the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro is a prime example of their latest efforts. Exterior Design

In 2025, the Tiggo 4 Pro got a facelift, giving it a more modern look. It sports a sharp design with a large starry diamond-shaped hexagonal grille, LED headlights that resemble tiger claws, and LED taillamps inspired by tiger stripes. 

The D-pillar is painted black to give that floating roof-effect. A new set of 17-inch alloy rims have also been added to enhance the look further.

Other notable features include a panoramic sunroof, keyless entry, and a push-start button. The centre cubby has two cupholders above the storage compartment which can slide forward or backwards as well for added convenience.

The rear passenger space is probably one of the best in its class, with ample leg room for people who are 6 ft and under. The 380L boot space is decent for daily use, and with the seats folded, it gives about 1,225L of total cargo room.

Chery Tiggo 4 Performance & Drive

Under the hood, the UAE-spec Tiggo 4 Pro has a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine producing 114 hp and 138 Nm of torque, mated to a CVT gearbox. 

While it’s not the quickest SUV, it performs well for city driving and occasional highway runs. The suspension is tuned for comfort but does not feel floaty, making it a smooth ride over bumps and potholes. 

The CVT exhibits fake shifts to make the driving more engaging and reduce that rubber-band feeling.

Chery Tiggo 4 Fuel Economy

Fuel efficiency is one of the Tiggo 4 Pro’s strong points. It delivers an average of 7.0L/100 km, making it economical for daily commutes. With a 51L fuel tank, expect a decent range before needing a refill.

Safety & Technology

Chery has equipped the Tiggo 4 Pro with a respectable safety package which includes dual airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), ABS with EBD, Hill Start Assist and rear parking sensors and rear camera.
