Toyota Land Cruiser Prado gets aggressive WALD body kit

After showcasing digital renderings last year, Japanese tuner Wald International has officially unveiled the real-life version of its Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Black Bison Edition at the 2025 Osaka Auto Messe. While the concept included both a lifted and a lowered version, only the off-road-focused model has been revealed.

The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado remains one of the most popular SUVs in the GCC, known for its rugged reliability and off-road capability. Wald has taken this a step further with an aggressive new body kit designed to enhance both looks and presence.

The Black Bison Edition features a redesigned front bumper with intricate air intakes, additional LED daytime running lights, and an aluminium skid plate. A large hood scoop and roof-mounted aerodynamic fins with integrated LEDs further add to the bold styling. Wide fender flares house beefy off-road wheels wrapped in mud-terrain tyres, while a lift kit and widened tracks improve both road presence and off-road capability.

At the rear, the modifications continue with a new bumper featuring a sporty diffuser and decorative vents. Wald has also added a wing mounted on the rear spoiler, though its functional purpose remains debatable. While the lifted version has come to life, the slammed version shown in earlier renderings, with larger wheels, performance tyres, and a lowering kit, remains purely digital.

No engine performance upgrades have been announced. In the UAE, only the turbocharged 2.4-litre 4-cylinder is being sold, with the turbo-diesel motor available in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. A hybrid engine is available in other non-GCC markets.

Pricing for the Black Bison kit has not been revealed, and it remains unclear whether it will be available outside Japan. Given the immense popularity of the Land Cruiser Prado in the UAE and GCC region, we might see a few around here.
