At the 2017 Chicago Motor Show, Toyota’s stand showcased two toughened up TRD models. The toughness is not just skin-deep, though. The Sequoia and Tundra TRD Sport models look more intimidating than their standard versions and both harbour some off-road kit to add more go to the show.

But what if you wanted a fire-breathing SUV from the other side of the Atlantic? The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT was the only American option in the list, but not anymore. Dodge has plonked in a bomb of an engine under the hood of their Durango SUV to produce the 2018 Durango SRT, a 2.5-ton SUV with a quarter mile time of 12.9 seconds.
Subaru’s mid-size sedan Legacy has been given an overall tweak for 2018 which has made it look a lot like its stable mate, the Impreza. Subaru is debuting the car at the 2017 Chicago Motor Show.
