Corvette ZO6 gets Geiger twin-turbo power

Geiger Corvette Z06
The Chevrolet Corvette ZO6 is an amazing sports car, but there are always some who think more power makes a better car. European tuner Geiger has created an upgrade package for those people, calling it the Corvette Z06 biTURBO.

Starting with modifications to the cylinder block, heads and crank, the 7.0-litre LS7 V8 was bored out to 7.6 litres. Then Geiger slapped on a pair of high-output turbochargers plus extra airflow at both the intake and exhaust ends to help get the most out of the new engine.

The result is 890 hp at 6,100rpm and 940 Nm of torque at 4,500rpm. That’s enough to push the Corvette to a top speed of 354 kph.

The Geiger demo car has been painted an eye-splitting shade of green. The rest of the upgrades are intended to help handle the extra power and performance, with a stronger transmission, a carbon-fibre driveshaft, stronger rear differential, larger 285/30 and 345/25 tyres on larger alloy wheels, larger StopTech brakes, Geiger-tuned adjustable shocks, higher rate springs and anti-roll bars.

Geiger’s own GT body kit gives the car a unique look, while adding more intakes and vents, supposedly to aid breathing and cooling.
