The 2010 Nissan Altima has undergone a facelift for 2010, although the car is not out yet. However, a U.S. publication has leaked the first image of the updated car.

The facelift is nothing more than a new grille, reshaped bumper, and mildly-different light clusters front and back. As far as the specs are concerned, leaked documents suggest that the current 2.5-litre and 3.5-litre engines will be carried over unchanged. Available features, at least for the U.S. version, will include HID headlights, 9.3GB hard drive, 4.3-inch LCD screen and new 17-inch alloy wheels.

Apparently, the U.S. Automotive News magazine reported on the factory recall affecting all “2009-2010” Nissan Altimas and Maximas due to faulty upper front strut insulators, but as some have noticed, the 2010 Altima is not even on sale yet. But the publication used the photo of a 2010 Altima for that story, probably because they were handed these photos by Nissan earlier than anyone else, to be published on a future date when the new Altima is launched.

Keep track of the GCC launch and UAE prices of the new model in the Nissan Altima buyer guide.
