Unlike industries in the Middle East, which exclusively make use of utilitarian Japanese pickups with puny four-banger engines, the Americans like to do their blue-collar jobs in style. For those who feel that the massive Ford F-150 is too small for their needs or their egos, the company is offering the redesigned 2011 Ford Super Duty.

For 2011, the F-Series Super Duty features two engines that are mated to a new transmission. The new engines are a 6.7-litre “Power Stroke” V8 turbocharged diesel engine and a 6.2-litre V8 gasoline engine. The all-new 6R140 heavy-duty TorqShift 6-speed automatic transmission was designed to manage the high low-end torque produced by the new diesel engine. Output figures have not been released yet.

Features include Ford’s Trailer Sway Control system, AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Electronic Locking Differential, standard tyre pressure monitoring system, optional side and curtain airbags, and an optional 4.2-inch LCD screen.

The F-Series Super Duty is available in rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive configurations, under F-250, F-350 and F-450 badges, depending on load capacity. The ungainly models will likely reach UAE and other GCC shores by the middle of next year.

  5. The front of this super duty thing looks real tough..Id love to drive one of these, but i couldnt possibly justify owning one..

  6. this is one bad ford. they have come out with a totally new design without really changing a lot of things, that really makes this f-350 stand out on top.
