Qatar Automobiles gets Mitsubishi Pajero Sport 2009

Qatar Automobiles Company (QAC), the exclusive dealer of Mitsubishi Motors and Fuso Trucks and Buses in Qatar, has unveiled the Year 2009 Mitsubishi Pajero Sports, a dream vehicle for automobile enthusiasts. An ideal family vehicle with the latest safety features, the all-new Mitsubishi Pajero Sports seats seven and bundles sheer power and performance that is unmatched among vehicles in its class.

QAC has already commenced booking for the new vehicle at its showrooms in Qatar. Tailored for off road and long highway cruises, the 2009 Mitsubishi Pajero Sports has all the markings of a clear winner, and will be a perfect fit for those looking for a family vehicle that also alternates as a rough rider capable of pulling heavy loads.

Mr Khalid Shaa’ban, General Manager, QAC, said that the unveiling of the all-new Mitsubishi Pajero Sports highlights the company’s commitment to deliver new motoring experiences for customers. “For several decades now, QAC has been the preferred partner for everybody in Qatar for their motor vehicle needs. Our line-up of Mitsubishi vehicles have catered for the demanding requirements of a diverse customer profile. The 2009 Mitsubishi Pajero Sports is a vibrant addition to our showcase of sturdy vehicles perfect for on- and off-road driving.”

He added: “The new vehicle is especially appealing for its advanced safety features and the sheer power that has been packed in the 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine. The output power for highway cruising and torque for pulling heavy loads make this an all-purpose vehicle. The launch will further energise the automobile market in Qatar.”

Features:

The 184 HP, 24 valves Mitsubishi Pajero Sports 2009 comes with an array of features and advanced specifications including Super Select 4 WD, INVECS-II 4-speed Automatic Transmission with Sportsmode, 17” alloy wheels, audio steering control, driver and front passenger’s SRS airbag, cruise control steering switch, leather seats and flexible seating for more space management, central door lock and power windows, among others.

Adding to the safety aspects is the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) which allows motorists to maneuver obstacles as they slow down. The Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) assists by redistributing braking force to the rear brakes as needed, enabling quicker stops even when carrying passengers and heavy loads.

Among the unique features is a sturdy ladder frame, which has been enhanced over earlier Mitsubishi Pajero models. Also notable is the hybrid-type LSD which assures excellent off-road response by combining the torque-sensing benefit of helical gears and a speed-sensing of a viscous coupling unit, all designed to work together with ABS. The ECI Multi electronically controlled fuel injection system maximizes intake efficiency to produce more complete combustion, resulting in fewer emissions and responsive acceleration.

For a leisurely drive, the vehicle comes with the Mitsubishi Power Sound System with eight speakers in six positions, and radio-, cassette- and CD-player with MP3 connected to multimode display. The exteriors have a dream-finish with chrome-plated vertical bar type front grill, colour keyed side protector mouldings and sun-roof.

Mr Shaa’ban said: “The new car will be a motorist’s delight and we are confident that the vehicle will achieve robust sales, as enjoyed by the earlier models. As part of further extending our service support, we are soon to open an exclusive Mitsubishi Service Centre, which will be an added convenience for our customers.”
