A niche manufacturer claims to have created the world’s fastest street bike. Calling it the “Asphaltfighters STORMBRINGER powered by WARM UP,” it will have its world debut at the 2009 Essen Motor Show.

The company says their new high-performance motorcycle has a top speed of more than 320 kph and accelerates from rest to 300 kph in just 13.9 seconds. This performance is made possible by a 1,000-cc 4-cylinder four-valve engine with a rated power output of 220 hp, which in “booster” mode can be increased to 280 hp for short periods of time.

While the semi-gloss black/orange bike weighs in at just 195 kg, it comes with features such as a backup camera system that eliminates the need for conventional rearview mirrors, a head-up display that projects the current speed onto the windscreen, and a lighting system with LED daytime running lights as well as just one extremely powerful Xenon headlamp that serves as both high and low beam.

The Asphaltfighters STORMBRINGER is built in small-series production by WARM UP Zweiradtechnik GmbH in Aalen, Germany with a price-tag starting at 57,500 Euros. To achieve “the perfect union of high-performance bike and rider,” the price includes a precision setup of the bike to the rider. Suspension, seating position and all operating controls are calibrated to the rider’s weight and size. Also included in the price of the bike is high-tech rider gear colour-coordinated with the bike. It includes a precisely fitting leather suit and a carbon-fibre/Kevlar helmet.

    It’s definitely a looker..

but what happens when you need new tyres?..

    Have to paint in yourself?..

    or pay another 10,000?

  2. I wish I could ride bikes. I am too dumb for it.

  3. i want this in ma lif3

  4. That is a fantastic looking bike. I also really like the heads up display features. The LCD screen at first I thought there is no way that belongs on on a motorbike, but rear-view displayed on it is a pretty clever idea, considering your elbows completely block your mirrors on most all sportbikes.

  5. i would leave my wife for this freaking bike then stab a fool
