Royal Drive 2010 joined by SCC Ultimate Aero

The SSC Ultimate Aero, of which the TT model is the holder of the world’s fastest production car title, has signed up to participate in this month’s Royal Drive event, taking place in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The car will be driven by UAE national Nasser Al Hai and will be just one of a multitude of rare supercars on display at the blue-ribbon car event.

“I am elated to have the SSC taking part in Royal Drive,” said Rabih El Zein, Business Development Director at Luce Che Vola. “We have some serious machinery signed up already, but to have the world’s fastest car included is a great result for us. Car fans are in for a real treat ”

The SSC has a long history with the Emirates after being launched at the Dubai motor show in 2008. The car was an instant success with three units being sold before the show had even ended.

At the other end of the car spectrum, Royal Drive is also set to feature a Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead by Mansory. Even though the Rolls-Royce is at the very pinnacle of motoring luxury, tuning and customisation experts Mansory have added their own special touches to this sought after car.

“To have a Drophead in the Royal Drive line up is amazing, but to have one customised by Mansory is absolutely perfect for us,” said El Zein. “With the Ultimate Aero, the Mansory Drophead and the other remarkable cars that have already signed up, next weekend is going to provide quite a site. I can’t wait for the start at Yas Marina circuit.”

Other cars already lined up for the drive between the two emirates include a Ferrari 599, Audi R8s, Nissan Skylines, a Lamborghini LP640 Muciélago, and a stunning Mercedes SLR McLaren 722s. There will also be a host of other Ferraris, Porsches and Lamborghinis, as well as the only Zenvo supercar currently on the road.

Royal Drive will bring 60 of the of the world’s most exotic supercars to Abu Dhabi and Dubai for a unique red-carpet display over the weekend of March 18 to 20. The impressive fleet will be on display to the public at the Corniche, Abu Dhabi, from 4pm to 7pm on March 19 and at The Walk in Jumeirah Beach Residences from 3pm to 10pm on March 20.
