Chrysler 300 Limited V6 on sale in the UAE

This is probably common knowledge for those who troll through newspaper ads, but Chrysler’s UAE dealers have been offering the V6-powered 2010 Chrysler 300 Limited for at least the past month now.

The Chrysler 300 Limited is a fullsize rear-wheel-drive sedan with a 3.5-litre V6 engine mated to an aging 4-speed automatic transmission. The V6 develops 250 hp at 6400 rpm and 340 Nm of torque at 3800 rpm.

Previously, only the V8-powered 300C models were offered in the GCC region. We even drove a 300C SRT-8 many years ago, back when the company was still called DaimlerChrysler. The 2010 Chrysler 300 Limited is the entry-level variant of the range, and though not new on the outside, it does contain more new tech features compared to the car we drove years ago.

Designed to be a last hurrah for the model range before it is replaced, the 300 Limited is indistinguishable from the V8 models, minus the badge. The 2010 version even has a mesh grille and chrome 18-inch wheels. Standard equipment includes ESP, ABS, front, rear and side-curtain airbags, heated front seats, dual zone climate control, LED ambient lighting, leather upholstery, remote start, chrome-capped mirrors and front fog lamps.

The in-car entertainment system features AM/FM radio with CD player and MP3 capability and a six speaker Boston Acoustics sound system. Also fitted are the MyGIG Multimedia Infotainment System with navigation, as well as the UConnect Bluetooth phone system, both controlled simply by voice or via a 6.5-inch touchscreen. MyGIG includes a 20-gigabyte hard drive which can be used to store music and photographs.

  1. I assume that is the same under-powered V6 from the Charger, they’ve just put on the 300 body and added new features. Shame that we don’t get the SRT-8 on the Charger here. Let’s wait for the new 2011 release.

    I picked one up today. It actually feels adequately powerful, like any other V6 sedan. Nice overall car too.

  3. Maybe as you say it is powerful but compared to others, it is underpowered, lets face it, some 4 cylnder cars started to be close to 250 hp, besides that, I notice something very important here in UAE and GCC in general, we are driving at minimum 100 km\h in the not very big roads, while most of the time the roads are big and we drive over 120 km\h, so and the luckist person lives 40 kms away from his work, so our driving is mostly highway and having a 4 speed trans is like living in the stone age, this kind of trans should not be made any more in any car, it consumes huge amounts of fuel and retarded.

  4. What do you mean by underpowered!!! It has adequate power, plus, OEM exaust kit which costs about AED3500 will boost the car by 50hp. 300C and its sibling, dodge charger are 2 of the most modifiable cars in the states.

  5. One more thing, lets not ignore the fact that its a rear wheel drive, so it has a sport character when you drive it, not like a camry, maxima or Aurion, where you have that bad torque steer.

  6. Agree with you on the RWD. But compared to the stock V6 power of the Chevrolet Lumina, it seems a little lacking, not in the numbers, but in the actual driving.

  7. I agree, RWD is the best and I am a big Fan of Lumina. But Lumina should not be compared with 300 Chrysler as Lumina is Mid Sizer and 300 is Full Size.
    @AWS:
    I like your thinking dude… I think in the same way consider all of them: “STUPIDOS” who spend a lot to buy a Japanese FWD……..

    Anyway Chrysler is also a nice RWD loaded with power and luxury and sportiness… I actually kind a like this as its different……

  8. wats the price of this car now ?

  9. I wonder why americans can’t get horse powers from engines that big… They always make big engines with few horse powers compared to their competitors… they need someone to tell them how to design engines… don’t depend on yourself Amercians!!! ask for help!!

  10. All of you may be right, but still the 4 speed trans is retarded, for God sake now we have 1.6 engines mated to 6 speed, big engines are not designed to rev high, otherwise they will consume fuel like crazy, and even for the sporty RWD cars like Merc and Beamers most of them are now equipped with 7 speed trans.
