Audi A6 2012 revealed, looks new yet old

The 2012 Audi A6 has made an early debut in pictures, and is supposedly a fully redesigned model. Good luck spotting the new model when it hits GCC streets in a year though, because it looks like designers spent about 2 seconds photoshopping bits of the 2010 A4 and the 2011 A8 onto the existing A6 to come up with this design.

Engines include a 204 hp 2.8-litre V6 with 280 Nm of torque, capable of 0-100 kph in an unlikely 7.7 seconds and a top speed of 240 kph; and a carryover 300 hp supercharged 3.0-litre V6 with 440 Nm of torque, supposedly good for 0-100 kph of 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 250 kph; along with three diesel engines for the European market, with a 245 hp 2.0-litre hybrid engine coming later.

The 2012 Audi A6, after its physical debut early next year, should reach the UAE in a year’s time, if Audi adheres to their usual delay in launching products in this region.

Keep track of updates in the Audi A6 buyer guide.

  1. They just made the rear the most boring I’ve eva seen ..
Somehow similar to the VW’s ..
They are just running outta ideas !

  2. in my opinion, this is pure class. if i look these ridiculous asian car makers that make their cars look different everytime around without building their own identity (copying bits here and there from the Americans and Europeans), this is what defines a brand for me: consistency, subtleness, and quality.

don’t bash me, but i think this is a great design, and i am not saying this because i am german!

  3. dont know wehter KIA optima looks like this or audi looks like kia 😛 but rears seems same

  4. @Mash- if this is old then what about japanese?

  5. well here we are the new audi a6 as expected they have’nt done much just putting new lights in front and back and minor changes in interior or we should say an a8’s interior shrinked in a6…i think audi seriously need some good designers!

  6. Lately there is nothing that is breathtaking in many of the designs of new car models.. They’re starting to all look the same..

  7. how much would it sell for?
I heard from the dealership that it’s expected to hit the Saudi Market by May, 2011. Any confirmation??
