So we got a 2012 Lexus LX 570

Last week, we drove the 2012 Lexus LX 570. A couple of years ago, we drove the 2010 Lexus LX 570. And four years ago, we drove the 2008 Lexus LX 570. So what has changed over the last four years?

Nothing much really. Externally, the most obvious change is the spindle grille, but aside from that, good luck spotting the differences.

The interior is exactly the same as before, but now the rear DVD screens are mounted behind the headrests instead of hanging from the ceiling.

There is still a third-row bench, with a way to increase the legroom back there, by moving the second-row seats forward electrically.

And that third row still folds up awkwardly along the sides of the boot when not in use.

Still, the Lexus LX 570 remains one of the few remaining luxury SUVs that can still go offroad. After all, this isn’t a pathetic neutered Cadillac Escalade. The LX comes with all the offroad tools of the Toyota Land Cruiser. More in the full review.
