Lamborghini Urus 4x4 concept debuts

Lamborghini Urus 4×4 concept debuts

Lamborghini has finally decided to build an SUV, having recently dabbled in building a sedan previously that never went beyond the concept stage. The funny-sounding Lamborghini Urus is only a 4×4 concept for now, but is largely expected to make it into production.

The Lamborghini Urus concept will officially be unveiled at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show this month, alongside other debuts by luxury carmakers who are targeting the hot Chinese market.

Considering Lamborghini is owned by Volkswagen, the Urus is expected to share its platform with the next-generation Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q7 and even the future Bentley SUV, with power coming from a 584 hp 5.2-litre V10.

It is safe to say that, if approved, it will probably not hit showrooms before 2015. Interestingly, this is not Lamborghini’s first attempt at an SUV. Back in the late 1980s, they built a boxy military-ready offroader called the LM002, with hopes of selling it to forces worldwide, but simply ended up as a civilian vehicle, offered until 1993.

how do ppl come up with ugly stuff like this!?!?!

  2. Its not ugly, it looks better than all those premium softroaders.. But I dont like the idea of Lamborghini building an SUV or Bentley doing so so aswell especially that the idea is commercialized and technically a vw under the skin.

This just shows you how tasteless are the aristocrats in the Chinese market are since they demand crap like this.
