Skoda Yeti crossover 4×4 officially launched in the UAE
Skoda have brought to the UAE market their first ever SUV, the Yeti. It is a compact five-door five-seater crossover.
The Yeti comes equipped with the VW group’s turbocharged 160 hp 1.8-litre 4-cylinder engine which is coupled to a 6-speed “DSG” dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Skoda Yeti has been awarded a 5-star safety rating by the Euro NCAP and scored 92% adult occupant protection in the frontal and side crash tests. The car also comes with ABS, brake assist, Anti-Slip Regulation and an electronic differential lock for the all-wheel-drive system.
Skoda says the required interval for servicing is a very convenient 15,000 km. There will be two models available at the time of introduction and a 3-year unlimited mileage warranty comes standard.
Jeremy Clarkson may have declared the Skoda Yeti 1.8-litre to be ‘possibly the best car in the world’, but here in the Middle East, we have to wait for the final word.

Rented one for 5 days in Berlin last summer. I didn’t like the way the front looked, so I exchanged it for an Opel Astra. But I have to say it was very refined and amazingly spacious and comfortable.
By the way, I saw one today behind the Citibank HQ next to Raffles.

Check out the Topgear video review of the same. versatile vehicle. But the poor marketing and after sales service will kill this vehicle in the UAE.
