Dealers announce exclusive line-up for Sharjah Auto Show


UAE’s leading automobile dealers have unveiled their impressive line-up of new launches and exclusive deals for the upcoming International Automobile Show to be held at Expo Centre Sharjah from November 28 to December 1, 2012.

Liberty Automobiles, Arabian Automobiles, Al Gargash Motors and Al Naboodah Automobiles have big plans for the show, said their top executives at a press conference held at Expo Centre Sharjah on Sunday, 25th November.

The press conference was addressed by Mr. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, Director-General of Expo Centre Sharjah; Mr. Duncan Peat, Managing Director – Liberty Automobiles; Mr. Karl Hamer, Managing Director, Al Habtoor Motors; Mr. Ghassan Nasser, Sales General Manager – Nissan – Arabian Automobiles; Mr. Adel Al Khaja – VIP and Government Relationship Manager – Al Gargash Motors; and Mr. Mazen Al Nashar, Audi Brand Manager – Al Nabooda Automobiles.

“Aiming to take advantage of rising consumer confidence, leading automobile dealers have lined up a series of new launches and packed existing models with more technology and exciting features for 2013. If the reports of car dealers are any indication to go by, sales in the first half of this year were the highest they have ever achieved in the region, with the UAE remaining the best volume selling market in the Middle East for many. They are expecting to end the year with record sales. We can look forward to exciting times at the show,” said Mr. Midfa.

Liberty Automobiles, the leading General Motors dealer in the UAE, will have four stands at the International Automobile Show, and will display 2013 models of Cadillac, Chevrolet, Opel, Kawasaki and other special purpose and high-performance vehicles. It will be unveiling four all-new 2013 models — Cadillac XTS, Cadillac ATS, Chevrolet Trailblazer and Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.

Duncan Peat, Managing Director of Liberty Automobiles, said: “We are proud to be the largest exhibitor in this major international motor show, and will take the opportunity to showcase world-class, all-new models from our current portfolio. In addition, we will mark the introduction of new and exciting brands to the Liberty business. This will allow customers to get a first-hand view of the new arrivals. Liberty has great confidence in International Automobile Show and we are sure it will be an even greater success for Liberty than the excellent 2010 show.”

Liberty’s Cadillac stand will display the all-new Cadillac XTS and the all-new Cadillac ATS, and Cadillac SRX, Cadillac CTS-V and Cadillac Escalade, while its Chevrolet stand will showcase the new Sonic, Cruze, Malibu and Traverse models. In addition, there will be a grand launch of the all-new Chevrolet Trailblazer and the all-new Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.

Its Opel stand will unveil the 2013 models of Opel. The lineup includes Opel Corsa, Opel Astra, Opel Insignia and Opel Meriva. In addition, there will be display the OPC models on display. The fourth Liberty stand will display other brands and special purpose vehicles, which include the Kawasaki range of bikes, quads and jet-skis; the customized, high-performance vehicle Wazuma from Lazareth Automotive; the Firebreather, a stunning high-performance car and other special purpose vehicles from VPG.

Michel Ayat, CEO of Arabian Automobiles, said, “Arabian Automobiles will be participating in the show for 11th time with our comprehensive line-up of Nissan and Infiniti models. We will showcase the celebrated 2013 Nissan Altima during the show. At the Infiniti stand, the technologically advanced 2013 Infiniti JX will be the highlight this year.”

The centre of attraction at the stand of Al Nabooda Automobiles, the sole distributor of Porsche, Audi and Volkswagen brands in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, will be the newly launched Polo sedan, which is equipped with highest standards of modern automotive engineering and high quality workmanship. Al Nabooda will also have a competitive and tailored financing offer on the sedan. Another attraction will be Cayenne GTS, a vehicle that can grab the hearts and minds of anyone passionate about driving, and Audi S models.

“Our participation in the show this year gives us the opportunity to communicate the growth of the Audi brand in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. With the dynamic Q5 entering the market, the launch of the latest S models range and a brand new Audi showroom in Dubai and another two in Sharjah and Fujairah opening next year, this is the perfect time to meet our local partners and customers in the Emirate,” said Mr. Ali Al Nabooda, General Manager Audi at Al Nabooda Automobiles.

Among its Mercedes-Benz models, Gargash Enterprises, the authorized general distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Dubai, will showcase the second generation Mercedes-Benz GL at the show. “We are excited to participate again in the show and we promise our visitors a wide range of latest passenger cars, especially the all-new GL. The award-winning large-size SUV occupies the top position amongst luxury off-road vehicles and is built around the modern Arab family,” said Mr. Adel Al Khajah, Govt & VIP Relationship Manager at Gargash Enterprises.

Exhibitors will also have great deals and several add-ons on their models, and also assist buyers in obtaining finance.

During the four-day show, visitors can expect to see saloon & sedan cars, 4x4s & SUVs, quad bikes, motorbikes, spare parts, tyres, lubricants, special vehicles, navigation systems, car care products, car audio & video systems, accessories, auto finance, insurance and warranties automotive magazines & websites.

Apart from bringing together some of the leading dealers of finest cars, the International Automobile Show will feature special attractions such as driving challenges and competitions.

The show will be open from 10 am to 10 pm. On Friday, it will be open from 4 pm to 10 pm. Admission is Free to all visitors.

  1. Will there be special offers or bargains? Otherwise I’m not interested, and I guess the vast majority of UAE residents is not.

  2. My 3 month old VW CC went to the service center again because the fuel unit had to be replaced (they had previously replaced the fuel tank).

    Not only was a courtesy car not offered but everytime I go there or even call their service center, I have to wait for a long time until somebody can help me.

    Funny, they paid JLo $250k to open their new showroom, but they can’t buy some more courtesy cars or hire more service advisers!!
