Audi Sport Quattro laserlight concept revealed for CES

Audi revealed plans to introduce the Sport Quattro laserlight concept at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to be held in Las Vegas next week.

The car gets matrix LED headlights with laser light technology, hence the name. Audi claims the laser high-beam lights have three times the luminosity of LED high-beam lights and can illuminate the road in front as far as half a kilometre.

Under the hood, the Sport Quattro laserlight concept gets a hybrid engine which consists of a twin-turbocharged 4.7-litre V8 combined with an electric motor. This is enough to produce 700 hp and 800 Nm of torque. The Sport Quattro laserlight concept can accelerate from 0-100 kph in 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 305 kph. Fuel economy is rated at a miserly 2.5 l/100 km.
