AC Schnitzer gives 2015 BMW M235i more muscle

AC Schnitzer BMW M235i
The BMW M235i is by no doubt a fast car, if the hype is to be believed. However, the peeps at AC Schnitzer have stepped up its limits as they unveil a new beefed-up version of the same coupe.

The tuned 2-Series Coupe now produces a staggering 380 hp as opposed to the 326 hp it started with in the first place. Pop the hood and you still get the same 3.0-litre TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine. But it is tuned to power the car to 100kph in less than five seconds. There are performance upgrades for the diesel variants too.

A variety of exterior modifications are also on offer. The customer can opt for the aerodynamic conversion kit which features a carbon-fibre front spoiler, mirror covers, rear diffuser and a rear roof spoiler. Complementing that are the optional 18, 19 or 20-inch alloy wheels and the sports-tuned exhaust system.

The Aachen-based tuner also firms up the suspension and lowers the ride height by 30-40mm which should make for better cornering. AC Schnitzer completes the package with interior elements such as an “AC Schnitzer gear knob” with digital gear display, an illuminated leather gear knob, the AC Schnitzer “Black Line” aluminium handbrake handle, aluminium pedal set and foot rest.

AC Schnitzer upgrades should be available in select showrooms across UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia and a few other Middle East markets.

  1. I am clueless why BMW’s are so popular. Their interiors are monotonous across the range and boring, the ride feel is average, non-sporty models are not fast AT ALL even in SPORT modes. Recently I drove my friend’s 535 2013 model, and I felt it sucked. There was nothing WOW about it, there are definitely much, much, much better cars in the same price tag
