2019 Lexus ES launched in UAE and GCC

Long known for its use as the ultimate Uber car in the UAE, the Lexus ES debuts in our region for the 2019 model year with an all-new platform and a promise to be a much more interesting car than before.

Featuring styling derived from the new Lexus LS, the ES sedan lineup includes the 215 hp ES 300h hybrid, the entry-level 204 hp ES 250, the V6-powered 300 hp ES 350 and the “sporty” ES 350 F-SPORT. The new model is longer, lower and wider, with more space inside. All petrol models get a new 8-speed automatic, while the hybrid gets a CVT automatic.

The ES 300h is said to offer over 80% better fuel economy compared to a petrol model, apparently capable of up to 24 km per liter.

The Lexus ES F SPORT features numerous upgrades such as adaptive suspension, unique aluminium interior trim and 19-inch wheels. Other models get wood or bamboo cabin trim as well as 17-inch or 18-inch wheels on the standard models.

Available features include an enhanced in-vehicle 12.3-inch multimedia display, a 10.2-inch coloured and adjustable head-up display, a 7-inch colour multi-information display, a wireless charging system for smartphones, LED ambient lighting, a 3-zone independent temperature control system, a 17-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, multi-adjustable power and ventilated front seats, power reclining rear seats, a rear armrest with stereo and a/c controls, and a hands-free power boot lid.

With a fresh look, nicer interior, a whole host of new features, and slightly improvements in comfort as well as handling, the 2019 Lexus ES is a much more appealing car than its predecessor, although this is reflected in the higher price as well.
