Mark Webber drove the race of his life in Barcelona on Sunday afternoon, leaving Red Bull team mate Sebastian Vettel behind on the way to the third Grand Prix victory of his career. The Australian won the Spanish F1 Grand Prix race to the first corner as Vettel tucked into second place ahead of McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso, and steadily set the pace as he pulled away.

In an outcome that is becoming repetitive, Brawn GP’s Jenson Button made a dominant display, this time at the 2009 Spanish F1 Grand Prix, at the expense of team-mate Rubens Barrichello’s error. The championship leader took the chequered flag 13 seconds clear of the Brazilian with Mark Webber making good use of strategy to finish third in the leading Red Bull Renault.
