2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS recalled for defect
The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro has barely been released in the United States, and already it has been hit by a factory recall. It is a problem that causes the V8-powered Camaro SS to shut down, and a few American owners have experienced it. The issue is a battery cable that runs from the boot. Its insulation wears off from rubbing up against the starter and eventually causes a short, which ultimately causes the car itself to shut down.
The fix involves using a new engine wiring harness that’s being shipped to all dealers by May 11. Thus, owners can choose the temporary fix and keep driving their Camaro or just leave it at the dealer until the new wiring harnesses arrive.
GM has built about 1,400 Camaros equipped with a V8 that are affected by this issue, but only 300 have been sold and are therefore under recall. The rest will be fixed before they’re delivered to dealers.
Considering the major Camaro media launch in Dubai will be held on May 13, theoretically this problem should not affect GCC customers, although incidents like these do nothing for the battered company’s image.

It looks as if Chevy tests their cars only for a week before approving it to put it on sale ! How can they miss this?!

The problem is that Chevy had have the prototype for long more than 3 years or so.
