Business as usual for Chrysler at Zubair Automotive Group

35 Years on and Chrysler remains dedicated and loyal to its customers. It’s business as usual as Oman’s Zubair Automotive Group’s Chrysler, Jeep & Dodge Division continue to lend their support and commitment to the Chrysler brands.

In fact, as far as customers are concerned nothing will change. Excellent deals will be offered, vehicles will be serviced and maintained as usual, warranties will be honored and parts will remain readily available. Zubair’s unique six-year warranty on Chrysler Group products will remain the best in the industry.

On 1st May, Chrysler announced that, as a result of a comprehensive restructuring plan, it signed an agreement in principle to establish a global alliance with Fiat SpA to form a vibrant new company. In addition to the alliance with Fiat, Chrysler LLC is currently undergoing a restructuring process facilitated by Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. Unlike an insolvency proceeding or liquidation, companies that file under Chapter 11 continue to operate their business with the goal of emerging from the process as a viable financially healthier enterprise.

“It’s very important that we make clear that Chrysler’s Mexican, Canadian and other operations like ours are not part of any bankruptcy filing. Chrysler Middle East continues to market, sell and service our vehicles and also honor the warranties of our vehicles,” says Trent Barcroft, Managing Director, Chrysler Middle East.

The alliance with Fiat brings about the prospect of additional vehicle lines in the future. A host of new models are planned. They will be modeled around the fuel-efficient, compact platforms and technology that has become available to Chrysler through the alliance. Bob Nardelli, CEO of Chrysler said, “This partnership transforms Chrysler into a vibrant new company with a wealth of strategic advantages.”

Throughout the Sultanate of Oman, Zubair Automotive Group remains Chrysler’s strategic partner. “We wholeheartedly reaffirm our commitment to Chrysler and the continued support of all Chrysler Group products in Oman,” said Keith Dotson, General Manager of Zubair Automotive’s Chrysler distributor. “We look forward to Chrysler’s aggressive new product offensive under a revitalized banner,” he concluded.
