OffRoad-Zone offers free event for Blue Banana creditors

OffRoad-Zone, a 4×4 specialist company in Dubai, is organising a free 4×4 driving event at its testing facility in Jebel Ali for those affected by the bankruptcy of BlueBanana.com, whose owner did a runner recently.

“We are one of the many suppliers owed money by Blue Banana, therefore we sympathise with customers stuck with vouchers, adventure suppliers owed money and employees who have lost their jobs”, said Jonathan of OffRoad-Zone.

OffRoad-Zone wants to turn this unfortunate situation into a more positive one by organising a fun day out where people can experience driving OffRoad-Zone’s 4x4s through the course’s water, sand, hills, ramps, logs and rocks. “We are not looking to collect vouchers, money or anything of that sort”, continued Jonathan. “All you need to do is show proof you have been affected directly or indirectly by the Blue Banana collapse”.

The event is scheduled for Saturday 25 July 2009 at 3:00 pm. “All our
vehicles are new and air-conditioned and the Jebel Ali Shooting Club is
right next door for those who want to go shooting and enjoy a bite to eat afterwards. It promises to be a great afternoon.” said Jonathan.

OffRoad-Zone has also agreed to honour the remaining vouchers purchased for its desert and 4×4 driving course despite knowing it is most unlikely to ever be reimbursed by Blue Banana. “We are a reputable business also offering full 4×4 repair/service, modification and 4×4 lease/rental (on and off-road) service, and we believe in standing behind our product”.

All drivers must be at least 25 years of age and hold a valid UAE driver’s licence.

  3. What a fantastic gesture. I was lucky enough to use the vouchers I had before the collapse but would have been very grateful for the amazing generosity shown by Jonathan and his team. Good on you!!
