Hummer H3 V8 Alpha headed for Qatar & UAE

Hummer H3 Alpha
The Hummer dealer in Qatar is claiming that the V8-powered 2009 Hummer H3 Alpha is headed for the GCC soon. After two years since the Alpha was spotted testing in Dubai, this is the first news that the more powerful H3 model will finally debut here.

On sale in America since 2008, the stronger H3 has a 5.3-litre V8 engine which delivers 300 hp at 5200 rpm and 432 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. Special features include a unique calibration for the ABS brakes in 4-Low mode, a rear axle is set to a 4.10 ratio compared with the previous 4.56, a standard rear-view camera system, and stability control designed to assist with hill starts.

The Hummer H3 Alpha will debut in the UAE sometime in August. The Alpha would offer a better alternative to the painfully-slow standard H3. With the Hummer brand being sold off to an upstart Chinese firm, the future of the loved-and-hated 4×4 specialist is vague at best.
