Hyundai Accent 2011 debuts in China

The 2011 Hyundai Verna debuted at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show this week. Verna is what the Hyundai Accent is known as in some markets, so this mini-Sonata is basically what we should be getting by the end of the year.

The 2011 Verna will be available with either a 106 hp 1.4-litre with 135 Nm and a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed auto, as well as a 120 hp 1.6-litre with 155 Nm and a 4-speed automatic.

Hyundai claims the Verna has the longest wheelbase in its class, making for a large cabin and a larger boot.

The Verna should reach UAE and Saudi markets with an Accent badge by the end of 2010.

Keep track of updates in the Hyundai Accent buyer guide.

  1. They just slaughtered the sonata for me…

  2. sure, what they did for the sonata’s sheet metal was truly amazing but seriously, following Audi’s scaling techniques isnt going to impress me.

  3. Cool. The whole lineup is good looking now. Though, they have Mohave. I think they should resurrect a very tough looking new Terracan now.

  4. hey the korean’s design looks amazing

  5. I dont know what to say, they sure improved alot on time but still there is something funny or out of place in their designs..

  6. When u create such a good thing like Sonata, Don’t burn it & abuse it everywhere by Elantra & Accent.
