Honda CR-V 2012 concept previews new model

The 2012 Honda CR-V is coming by the end of the year, but the Japanee firm is going to preview the new crossover with this near-production “concept” version at a future auto show, as seen in this leaked photo.

While everything about the all-wheel-drive crossover is rumour at this point, it is expect to have the same 2.4-litre 4-cylinder engine as before, now mated to a 6-speed automatic, and feature third-row seating.

There is no other info at this time.

  1. Yuck what is this, the back looks disgusting and the same 2.4l engine. Japs you need to seriously pick up some design cues from Koreans.

  2. beautiful styling, it is not built for ladies like previous versions 🙂

  3. Love the styling and happy they did not ruin it like they did with the Civic. Hope trims will include one with such big alloy wheels and exterior additions…yet hope the performance will be enhanced as like the current 2.4 is weak really..if rav4 and qashqai will not introduce next year 200+ HP engines Honda will not be caring to put more powerful engine in this one!

  4. @mash,
bro.. out of the topic: “Buyers guide”, please check 2010-2011 Hyundai santa Fe about the side-hinged tailgate.
    cheers!

  5. i wish that honda introduces tiptronic and v6 engine on this crossover

  6. improved on looks with cues from Volvo…but if it is goin 2 have the same carryover 2.4L engine inspite of a third row, it isn’t going to be any exciting!

  7. This CRV looks better,Third row seating could be for the kids, expecting a starting price of around AED 100k to start with.

  8. This badly needs a V6 to be any real “fun”

  9. Looks better than current one. Remembered Accord CrossTour from front and Syangyong Actyon when page opened. The bigger wheels does give it more manly look though.

  10. `@mash
I know bro! i totally thought the same untill my friend passed it to me for a month or so.. so that is what i am driving now and was surprised to see that is upwards, knowing from drivearabia and by the looks of the handle that it’s side hinged.

  11. it very good ship, & we hope the engin is not cross & v6,3.5,& the senon light
