Honda CR-V 2012 revealed at Los Angeles Auto Show

The fully-redesigned 2012 Honda CR-V has finally been unveiled at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show. While it looks very different inside and out, the mechanicals underneath are only mildly updated.

The 2012 CR-V is powered by an updated 2.4-litre “i-VTEC” 4-cylinder engine, now making 185 hp and 221 Nm of torque, mated to a carryover 5-speed automatic and a choice of front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive.

The interior has apparently been improved, with a different layout, quick-stow rear seats and slightly-less hard plastics. The American version also gets standard Bluetooth, a multi-angle rearview camera, optional navigation and a full-colour information display, as well as the ability to receive SMS text messaging capability, which reads incoming text messages over the audio system. Honda also expects 5-star crash test ratings.

Expect the all-new CR-V to reach Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and other GCC countries by next summer.

Keep track of further updates in the Honda CR-V buyer guide.

Honda sells well even with these moderate designs because of their built quality.

CRV is one of the best models from Honda; with such interior this car will rule its segment.

  10. Is this the same segment as the Tucson?
