Toyota Land Cruiser 2012 facelift debuts

Toyota Land Cruiser 2012 facelift debuts

The 2012 Toyota Land Cruiser was released in Japan this month, although it isn’t much different from the current version.

The 2012 Land Cruiser facelift consists of a restyled front bumper, new grille, new headlights with LED running lamps, side moldings, new 18-inch or 20-inch alloy wheels and new tail lamp clusters. Side view mirrors also get indicators and windscreen wipers now have rain sensors, although other changes are unclear, as the interior looks unchanged.

The only engine available in Japan is a 314 hp 4.6-litre V8 with 460 Nm, which has been offered there for the last couple of years, but never made it to the GCC. The Middle East market likely will continue to get the 4.0-litre V6, the 4.7-litre V8 and the 5.7-litre V8.

The new Land Cruiser hits Japanese showrooms by January 2012, so a UAE debut is not far away after that.

Keep track of updates in the Toyota Land Cruiser buyer guide.

  1. Don’t you mean 4.0 V6?

  2. You mean the 4.0litre V6
Hope its Dual VVT-i this time.

  3. But it has gotten worse in design. I mean the front bumper is uglier than the one it replaces, and the fog lights are disastrous. The LED lights are welcome though.

  4. By the way I was going through the new website http://www.toyota.ae and it has got all the prices and configuration available. Quite handy.

Of course these models are yet to come but you don’t need to call up al futtaim to ask the price now.

  5. wow, another ugly 4×4 facelift from Toyota
Toyota is in the market just because of resale value.. nothing elseee

  6. I hope that these come with the Toyota Entune system, instead of the shoddy garbage that they use currently with Toyotas.

I still don’t know why anyone would pick a Landcruiser VXR over a Nissan Patrol or Porsche Cayenne 3.6…….

  7. i like this car ..

  8. funnily enough toyota still sells the 2011 version (60th anni) as 2012 model at steeper price – 215k (although they currently discount back to the 2011 rate of 208k)
    funny toyota..!
