2013 Mini Paceman makes its official web debut

The MINI Paceman, the coupe variant of the Countryman which is also the seventh member of the MINI family has finally made it’s web debut.

The front fascia of the MINI Paceman has an upright front grille with hexagonal radiator grille and broad chrome surround. The stretched profile features long doors with blacked-out pillars creating a ‘floating’ roof concept. The horizontal arrangement of the rear lights accentuates the car’s width and is a first for MINI. The Paceman is the only MINI with a rear nameplate.

The rear seats have a lounge feel with two individual chairs and betwixt is a Rail storage system – first seen in the Countryman. The four-seater Paceman has a cargo capacity of 330 litre which expands to 1,080 litre with the seats folded down.

All come with a six-speed manual gearbox, or the optional six-speed Steptronic. The Paceman can be had with a 122 hp 1.6-litre petrol engine that does 6.0 l/100km or a 184 hp turbocharged version that sprints away to a 100 kph in 7.5 seconds. Fuel economy is 6.1 l/100km.

Diesel variants use either a 112 hp turbocharged 1.6-litre engine that does does 4.4 l/100km or a 143 hp 2.0-litre engine which gets from 0-100kph in 9.2 seconds burning fuel at the rate of 4.6l/100km.

MINI’s ALL4 four-wheel drive system comes as standard and performance enthusiasts can opt for the John Cooper Works version, which is currently in development.

The Paceman will go sale in on 16 March 2013 with a starting price of £18,970 in the UK which roughly translates to about Dhs 112,900. Expect it to be closer to Dhs 150,000 for the UAE and GCC.

Keep track of the latest updates and prices in the Mini buyer guide.

  1. MINI never fails to amuse me!

Decent looking car, could have made the turbo engine spec faster!
They need to upgrade to a 2ltr, atleast for the bigger cars such as Countryman & now Paceman!

  2. The MINI potentials seems endless!

Nice cars no doubt from Mini..
