HPD Supercharged Honda CR-Z Concept at SEMA
The re-incarnation of the Honda CR-Z hasn’t impressed performance enthusiasts neither has it won favour with environmentalists, even after being a hybrid.
Now Honda in an effort to redemption have created and brought to the spotlights of the SEMA show in Las Vegas a supercharged version of the once, pocket-rocket.
The Japanese automaker’s Honda Performance Division a.k.a. have spruced up the CRZ to add some ‘go’ to all the ‘show’. By bolting on a supercharger, an intercooler, high-flow injectors and a recalibrated ECU, HPD have managed to churn out some extra horses and twisting force at the crank. Maximum output is now rated at 185bhp and 229Nm of torque.
Enhancements to the CRZ dynamism comes via re-tuned suspension bits, a high performance wheel and tyre package, and high-performance brakes.
