2013 Honda Civic facelift revealed at LA Auto Show

Honda have revealed exterior images of the facelifted 2013 Civic, set to make its full debut at the LA Auto Show later this month. Minor differences have been made all around, but overall gives an improved new look.

After receiving negative publicity for the current model, Honda went back to the drawing boards to rectify the situation. What they have come up with are newly designed front and back bumpers, new honeycomb mesh grille and some chrome linings. It also gets a revised hood, new headlights and different alloy wheels.

No interior images have been revealed yet. However, Honda have confirmed some tweaks have been made to the chassis to improve handling performance. Engine will probably be the same 1.8-litre 4-cylinder in the current model.

Expect the 2013 Honda Civic to hit the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia and GCC countries by the end of the year.

Keep track of the latest prices and updates in the Honda buyer guide.

  1. Best part was that even Honda agreed that the Civic update sucked.
I await the day when Toyota would agree that GXR sucks, and is not worth the money.

    • I take what i told about the GXR back, whenever i think of the GXR the 2008 model comes to my mind and not the 2012 one.(the 2012 one is good)

  2. now this looks better..looks like Honda is returning back into the game 🙂

  3. Its better but car looks bulkier, sometimes you feel, manufacturers move towards futuristic streamlined designs with curves and curls and when they run out of ideas they copy, paste each other’s front/rear designs, after bashing, they again go back to basics and start making traditional family style looking cars.

Remember previous generation Corolla, a very decent looking car and no nonsense design, I was sure Toyota would struggle to replace such a model, and alas when the current generation came, as expected it was full of ugly bulges and stretches in the name of new design and aerodynamics. Let’s hope they get the next one right.

  4. Much Better Now.

  5. loving itt… great job honda

  6. Speaking of ‘Saving Face’-lift..

  7. once upon time in 2006 Honda Civic was the best car you ever can buy for that price range. It had amazing body style and interior was so futuristic. I had one as well at that time. I sold it recently this year for very good price and was thinking of getting 2012 model however the style looks very much dull and conservative so u bought Kia optima. And now when i saw 2013model , i want to have this new civic. I still believe in honda that it can dictate the fashion for cars.

  8. sorry honda but i think you copied a lower brand Kia Cerato in civic styling 🙁
