2014 BMW X5
BMW has unveiled the new X5. The 2014 X5 gets a new face but under the bonnet are the same engine choices.

The 2014 BMW X5 will get the turbocharged 3.0-litre inline 6-cylinder engine, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, good enough to produce 300 hp and 406 Nm of torque. BMW claims it is 0.2 seconds faster than its predecessor and can sprint to 0-100 kph in around 6.4 seconds. For the first time, a real-wheel drive-only model is being offered on the X5.

The higher model gets a turbocharged 4.4-litre V8, also with an 8-speed automatic transmission, producing 445 hp and 650 Nm of torque. This enables it to reach 0-100 kph in around 5.1 seconds.

Expect the 2014 BMW X5 to hit the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries in a few months.

Keep track of the latest updates and prices in the BMW X5 buyer guide.

  1. Looks a lot like the X3. Not really digging the styling on it.

  2. agree with that

also, think the current x5 looks manlier and tougher, not as diluted

  3. Looks really sad. The current gen still look good. Hope it doesnt take the route of the honda civic. They really need to look at those oddly placed fog lamps and weird head lights

  4. porsche cayenne looks way better and value of money than x5

    • The Volkswagen Touareg looks Gorgeous and SOLID VALUE FOR MONEY compared to any of the German SUVs in this category.

    • do not forget the ML. I can say it design is a little bit controversial but driving the ML500 few weeks ago it dwarf the x5 on every aspect. I agree on the Toureg though but its problem is it is overpriced for a VW

    • Naa, cayenne is good if not the best. But it’s not exactly ‘value for money’.

  5. No good, there is now bare difference between a X5 and X3.

  6. this is a downgrade

  7. glad to see everyone disliking the new shape..i thought i was the only one 😛
well, Purely based on looks, Cayenne > X5..
but wait a second, Range Rover Vogue Sport…hmmmmmmm

  8. BMW new models looks like a face lift of the previous models.

For example when they introduced the previous 5 series it was an avantgarde in terms of design and it turn our heads on the roads in 2004.

The new 5 series is just another car!

The same is going on with the 6 series and now the X5.

where are the genious designers who previously made the X6, Z4 and 5 series now!
