Some of you may have already heard the rumours, but it is official now – Al Futtaim Group will be the official dealer for Lotus in the UAE.

The Lotus showroom will be located in Dubai Festival City and is scheduled to open next October. To kick things off, only the Lotus Evora and the supercharged model, the Evora S will be sold. There will also be a Lotus Originals Boutique selling merchandise of the British sports car manufacturer.

Len Hunt, President – Automotive, Al-Futtaim group said: “Al-Futtaim has built strength and credibility in delivering great customer experience through its well established automotive operations. We are excited to exclusively introduce the globally recognised brand of Lotus to this market. Representing Lotus and its products which are centered on style, passion and performance, offers our customers a whole new dimension within our automotive portfolio. We are looking forward to a long and successful partnership.”

Lotus Cars Ltd Chief Operating Officer Aslam Farikullah said: “The Middle East is a strategic market with significant potential for Lotus and the UAE is a substantial part of that opportunity. We are delighted to partner with Al-Futtaim, a company with undoubted expertise in the region, an exemplary track record and whom we know will offer a premium experience to our customers. Between us, we will introduce customers in the UAE to the world of Lotus, one of high performance, award winning cars with world-class ride and handling, and we look forward to bringing this new audience close to our brand which is synonymous with motorsport and Formula 1 – both historically and today.”

The Lotus Evora comes with a 3.5-litre V6 Toyota engine, the same unit found in the Avalon. It generates 276 hp and 342 Nm of torque. The Evora S gets a supercharged version of the same engine, producing 345 hp and 400 Nm of torque. It can be had in either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.

  5. OH MY GOD!!
not again ALFutaim now ganna sell Lotus cars!

so here is the news and the updats

    Super bad service

    super high price

super cheapest version of the car shipped from the out side and changed here like the
SEATS of some TOYOTA cars r painted and replaced in Sharjah here we go with the worst dealer again in UAE ! lol

  6. Lotus Cars are excellent sports cars. The value and sheer driving pleasure you get from these cars exceeds Porkies, Beemer’s, Merc’s, and even over priced Fiat’s/Ferraris. I own an Exige S , bought from a dealer in Doha and would like to see any of the above cars compete on the track ! Mabrouk to Al Futtaim, and long live true British sports car heritage.
