Cars like the Lotus Exige have become rare. Actually they are pretty much extinct, as the Exige ceased production in 2021, as did the Elise and Evora, to be replaced by the more-modern new Emira. We got a chance to drive the Exige 410 Anniversary Edition. The Exige has been around since 2000, but still as exciting to drive, if not more so.
Lotus, famous for its lightweight sports car, has taken a gorgeous bunny from its hat. Dubbed the Lotus Emira, this new creation combines the style of a supercar with the performance and price of a little sports car.
Since Geely acquired them, Lotus has been churning out special editions of their existing models, but not a single new model. After this long interval, a new Lotus car is here, albeit still in display-piece form. Lotus rolled up the curtains for Lotus Evija, the brand-new electric hypercar from the British brand which rolls in with 1,973 horsepower. The car is currently being shown around the world and was in the Dubai showroom recently.
After the Evora GT430 and the faster Evora GT430 Sport, Lotus revealed another limited edition car from their stable called Lotus Elise Cup 260 recently. The production of this puny little car is limited to just 30 units worldwide. Just like the GT430 Evoras, the Elise Cup 260 banks on aerodynamics and lightness to improve its performance.
British manufacturer Lotus recently revealed Evora GT430 4-seater. The GT430 is the most hardcore model from Lotus and it sports a 3.5-litre supercharged V6 petrol engine.
