Lamborghini Veneno revealed in roadster attire

If you thought the Aventador was cool, we would like you to get a load of this; the Lamborghini Veneno roadster. Sure, you’ve seen pictures of the fully clothed uber-cool looking racing prototype’s coupe version back in March at the Geneva Auto Show, but this one with the razor sharp looks won’t be missed either.

The heart of the Veneno roadster is the same 6.5-litre V12 unit from the Aventador, only tuned to produce a mind-boggling 750 hp, enabling the roadster to hit from 0-100 kph mark in a mere 2.9 seconds, which is only a fraction of a second shy than its coupe counterpart. Still, the roadster maxes out at 355 kph.

To aid all of the above mentioned feats, the engine is coupled with the extremely fast-shifting ISR transmission which comes with five modes. Then there’s permanent all-wheel drive, a racing chassis with pushrod suspension and horizontal spring/damper units. There’s also carbon-fibre, both on the outside and inside, letting the car weigh in at a miserly 1,490 kgs.

Only nine examples of the Veneno Roadster will be built and sold. The roadster will be priced at 3.3 million Euros which translates to about Dhs 16 million.
