Maserati Alfieri Concept hints at 2016 GranTurismo

Maserati Alfieri Concept 1
Maserati showed off the Alfieri at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, a 2+2 concept car that could possibly be their new entry-level sports coupe and future replacement for the GranTurismo.

Maserati claims the Alfieri will be sportier than the GranTurismo, on which the car is based on but 24 cm shorter. The stunning design is inspired by classic models such as the 1957 3500 GT and the 1959 5000 GT.

Under the hood, will be a 4.7-litre V8 engine, which produces 460 hp through a 6-speed sequential automatic gearbox. Speed is kept in check with carbon-ceramic rotors and Brembo calipers. Inside you get aniline leather, offset by copper highlights and single piece aluminium used to create the gearbox lever, oval clock and seat profile inserts.
